Hi Pre/K and Kindergarten families,
This month we reviewed the holidays: Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Then we got to explore the holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah. We made little books that the children got to color for the holidays. We also got to make sukkah decorations before going into the sukkah. In the sukkah, we got to shake the Lulav and Etrog. We talked about how the Etrog looked like a lemon, however, it felt different (lemon is smooth but Etrog is bumpy). We learned how to shake the lulav in all six directions. We also discussed how Sukkot and Thanksgiving are both holidays we share what we are thankful for. As a class, we came up with ideas of what we were thankful for. Some were: family, food, and birthday parties.
Next class, we will be discussing the story of Adam and Eve.
I look forward to seeing you all on November 17th!
