This week in the 5th Grade classroom we reviewed last week’s lesson on Rosh Hashanah and learned about the upcoming Jewish holiday, Yom Kippur—or The Day of Atonement. Students were introduced to the method of repentance (Tefilah, Teshuva, and Tzedakah), the concept and significance of fasting, and the 5 prohibitions of Yom Kippur. We played a trivia game called Zonk as well as a fast paced one called Around The World to review vocabulary, holidays, the Aleph-Bet and more! Ask your child about Yom Kippur and why we fast.
Have a good week,
Ms. Sabrina and Mr. Micah
