Our classroom was abuzz with the anticipation of Thanksgiving on Sunday. We spoke about the many things we have to be grateful for. Seeing your children each week is one of the blessings that I give thanks for.
We are now on Chapter 11 in our Tiyulim textbook. This chapter is entitled
"To Dot or Not to Dot". The dagesh (dot) is very important in learning Hebrew. A simple dot can alter a Hebrew letter's name (ex. vet becomes bet) and it's pronunciation. Please have your child read pages 41 to 44, which we covered in class. If your child has found it difficult to work on Hebrew at home, now is a great time to catch up. My suggestion is to begin at the start of the book. Find the essence of each chapter and discuss it briefly with your child. In a few days both you and your child will be on your way to fluent Hebrew reading.
In Bible studies we learned about Samson and his supernatural strength. The source of Samson's strength is his long hair!
Each child made a 3-D turkey centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table. Have a wonderful holiday! Love, Mindy
