In Hebrew, Sunday is referred to as Yom Rishon, which means the first day. My Yom Rishon is spent with your wonderful children. I cannot think of a better way to start a week.
We are on lesson 8 in our textbook. The Hebrew letter Resh, with it's "R" sound is highlighted. Key words to remember for Resh are Reggel (leg) and Rosh (head). For homework, please go over pages 35 to 39 in Alef Bet Quest.
Just when spring seems a long way off, we celebrate the beginning of spring in Israel with the holiday Tu Be'Shevat. The children took turns reading the book "Happy Birthday Tree" by Madelyn Rosenberg. Each child made a unique tree sculpture.
Enjoy the Week. Love, Mindy
