It is great fun preparing for Hanukkah with your enthusiastic children. We are reviewing the Hanukkah story, reading about the holiday, and creating art works which capture the Hanukkah magic.
In Hebrew we worked with the letter Tet, which makes a "T" sound. A key word for Tet is Tallit, the Jewish prayer shawl. I wore my son's tallit from his Bar Mitzvah to give a visual example. We also learned that the word Tov (good) begins with a Tet. Homework is to review Lesson 13. Please have your child read page 50 to you.
We look forward to celebrating Hanukkah with entire school on this coming Sunday, December 11. There will be great activities, and you might want to get your holiday shopping done at unique vendor booths, while your children are busy at play. We hope to see you there.
