We are well into our studies of Passover. Pesach is a holiday rich in symbolism that lends itself to reflections on freedom. As we study the past exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt, we naturally ponder our own freedom as well as the factors that hinder us. Our class has begun to discuss the questions evoked by the Passover Story.
I told the story of the Passover Parrot and we proceeded to do an art project related to it. I hope your child retold the tale to you.
For Hebrew studies, please review chapter 11 on pages 50 - 53. There is writing practice on page 52 for your child to complete. The chapter teacher two letters that make an "S" sound - Samech and Sin. Key words for Samech are Sabba (grandfather) and Savta (grandmother).
Have a wonderful week, and keep in mind that Passover ushers in the spring.
