This week we turned our attention to the upcoming holiday of Shavuot. Shavuot is one of the harvest festivals on the Jewish calendar. It reminds us of the ripening of the first fruits in Israel. Shavuot also celebrates the giving of the Torah/Ten Commandments to Moses on Mount Sinai.
