Our classroom continues to be a place of joy and sharing. One of the outstanding characteristics of our second grade group is their kindness and generosity. Whenever a child needs something, a marker, a seat, a bit of encouragement - your children immediately step in to help.
This week we focused on two Hebrew letters which make a "T" sound. They are Tav (Key word Torah) ant Tet (Key word Tallit). We practiced writing using individual white boards. For homework, please review chapter 9 in our textbook.
We learned more about Tu B'Shevat, the celebration of trees. Reading a book entitled "Noah's Trees" we reflected on how the great flood destroyed plants and trees. In the book, Noah took saplings of his favorite trees so they could survive and be replanted. Each child made a fabulous illustration of the story.
Thank you sharing your precious children with us at SSJS. We adore them.
