We had a great time in class yesterday with 100% attendance!
We are learning Hebrew vocabulary words that come up during the course of our morning. Our Hebrew lesson itself revolved around the letter Hay, which makes an "h" sound, and in some cases is silent. A good key word to remember Hay is Havdalla, the ceremony which concludes Shabbat. Each week we perform this ceremony to conclude class, and to wish one another a good week. Homework can be found on pages 33 to 36 in our Tiyulim textbook. Regarding homework - I know that your children are quite busy and may have difficulty fitting in Hebrew time. To make the most out of our studies, and to develop fluency in reading, it is essential to review the lessons at home. Thank you so much for your help with this!
I told a story with props about a diamond which was dropped. This is a lovely story with quite a message. Please ask your child to re-tell it.
We read a Torah Story about Joseph. Each child made Joseph's coat using "Silky Sticks" which have vivid colors, and write like lipstick. It was so much fun.
Have a wonderful week. Love, Mindy
