I enjoyed every moment of Sunday School with your bright and spirited children.
This week we concentrated on the letter Bet, which makes a “B” sound. We practiced writing Bet in our workbooks, and looked at two key words. The Hebrew word “beema” refers to the stage in a synagogue, and the word “Bayit” means house. Please ask your child to study chapter two in our text book. Chapter two is found on pages 6, 7, and 8.
Sam, our fabulous assistant teacher, read us a book about houses entitled “The Big Orange Splot”, and each of the children created a colorful “Bayit”. I also told a Rosh Hashana story called “The Announcing Tool”. It will be wonderful if your child can retell the stories.
We end each class with the Havdallah ceremony and wish one another “Shavuah Tov”, a good week.
It’s a great joy to be welcoming the Jewish New Year 5777 with you and your family. Have a “Shavuah Tov” and I’ll look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
