We had a fabulous time last Sunday celebrating the harvest festival of Sukkot. I'd like to thank each of you for the goodies you sent in. The creation of edible Sukkot (temporary shelters with branches as roofs) was a big hit! The ingredients were so delicious, that the projects may not have made it to your home. Please rest assured that our class enjoyed every moment of the creation (and eating) of a Sukkah.
We learned about the origins of the holiday of Sukkot, as well as the symbols associated with it. Each child had an opportunity to smell the holiday Etrog and to shake the Lulav.
In Hebrew studies we learned about Lamed and Mem. Please have your child go over pages 14 to 20 in our textbook. Thank you.
Shabbat Shalom. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
