We are off to a great start. Today we resumed out focus on the countries that border Israel and the other Arab countries in the Middle East. The students filled in blank maps with the location of the various countries.
We then thought about what makes Israel unique. The students watched two videos that highlighted Israeli inventions. From the videos, the students learned that anti-virus software, texting, solar water heaters, hands free video screens, auto brake systems for accident prevention, seedless watermelon, special tomatoes, and computerized leg braces for paraplegics to be able to stand and walk were all invented in Israel.
We began our prayer learning with the shema, talking about why we say a prayer about God being one.
As for Hebrew. the students are in the process of being assessed to determine the starting point for their individual needs.
